From Lukla, the flight proceeds towards Kalapathar, the best viewpoint to have a close view of Mt Everest and the other 20 peaks. The flight reaches Kalapathar- the highest point of this tour provides a breathtaking view of mountain ranges includes, including Mt. What to pack for the Everest Base Camp Heli Tour?

EBC Heli tour is not as technical and difficult as Everest Base Camp Trek. However, you may need some gear just to avoid the cold and altitude sickness during the Heli Tour to Everest Base Camp. So, do not think about carrying too much stuff. Sun Glasses, warm hats, Sunscreen, Camera lens, Power Bank (if you need it), warm jackets and trousers, and a set of warm socks. Likewise, you can carry some light snacks or bars.  

How long does Everest Helicopter Tour take?

Everest Helicopter Tour duration varies depending on the specific tour package you choose. A standard time for EBC Helicopter Tour is 4-5 hours, which includes a stopover at Kalapattar for around 10 minutes and 30 minutes breakfast break at Everest View Hotel.

Itinerary

5:30 AM: Transfer to the Domestic Terminal of the Trubhuwan International Airport.

Early in the morning a representatives from CTN will be at your hotel to pick you up and take you to the airport. It takes around 15-20 minutes to reach the domestic terminal.

 

6:00 AM: Check in at the airportand take off the Heli.

After arriving at airport we will do check in and other paper work and head towards helicopter.

 

7:45: Fly to Lukla from Tribhuwan international Airport.

 

The flight will take off to Lukla which takes around 45 minutes. The Lukla Airport is known as one of the most dangerous airports in the world at 2860 meters elevation. Right from the moment you take off the views from the air is so mesmerizing. Upon reaching Lukla, spend 10-15 minutes out there while Helicopter is refueling its Gas.

 

8:45: Helicopter ride from Lukla to Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp

 

After fueling up at Lukla, the charter moves ahead to Everest Base camp within half and hour. Witness the bird’s eye views of Namche Bazaar and Sagarmatha National Park from the air. Similarly, the Heli ride offers outstanding views of monasteries, sherpa villages, suspension bridges, and mountains.

 

9:30 AM: Land at Kala Patthar and spend 5-10 minutes

 

Landing at 5555 meters height at Kalapathhar is the vantage view point of this Heli Tour to Everest. You will spend around 5-10 minutes exploring around the mountains. After spending quality time over there, we will fly over Everest Base Camp where you can see many camps and climbers ready to climb the Everest.

 

9:50 AM: Fly to Hotel Everest View

 

After capturing some memories at Kalapatthar, we fly towards Everest View hotel and have a breakfast. The Helicopter will stop over here for 30 odd minutes. Enjoy the delicious breakfast witnessing some of the highest peaks in the world, including, Mt. Everest.

 

10:30 AM: Fly from Everest View Hotel to Lukla

 

After finishing breakfast, the flight will take you back to Lukla and refuel it. You will be spending around 10 minutes at Lukla.

 

10:50 AM: Fly Back Kathmandu

 

The final phase of your flight to Kathmandu enjoying the scenic views of hills and mountains to Kathmandu. It takes around 45 minutes to Land at Kathmandu.

 

11:40 AM: Drive back to Hotel via private vehicle

 

Our representatives from CTN will pick you up from domestic terminal and take back to your hotel.
