Khopra Danda Trek is a newly found trekking trail in the Annapurna region of Nepal just like Mardi Himal Trek. The off-beaten and rarely explored trail offers breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Lamjung Himal. Similarly, trek through the tranquil traditional villages, farmlands, fast flowing rivers, and dense forests. Khopra Trek takes you to the elevation of 3640 meters deep into the beautiful nature and Himalayan peaks of Annapurna region. The Khopra Danda Trek starts with the drive from Pokhara to Kimche and head towards Tadapani. It is less crowded along with unspoiled trail. Khopra Ridge or Khopra Danda:
Khopra Ridge itself is one of the major attractions of this trek. The ridge offers the 360 degrees views of mountains including Annapurna south, Tukuche peak, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri.
Khayer Lake:
If you visit to Khayer Lakes then, you will gain an elevation up to 4600 meters. The breathtaking Himalayan views from the lake has attracted man tourists lately. Likewise, Hindu pilgrims also consider this lake as a holy lake which leads them to Nirvana.
Hike to Poon Hill
Poon Hill is another vantage point to enjoy the views of the mountains. Moreover, you can witness the majestic sunrise view from the Poon Hill. It takes around 45 minutes to reach the vantage point from Ghorepani.

If you are thinking how difficult is Khopra Danda Trek? Well, it is known as easy and short trek in the Annapurna region. An average walking per day is 5-6 hours during the trek. However, excellent physical fitness with some trekking experience can be relatively easy. So, we suggest to prepare yourself at least 30 days before by performing some physical fitness or even day hikes.
Best time to do Khopra Danda Trek
Just like other treks in the Annapurna region, Annapurna circuit or ABC Trek, autumn and spring season are the best time to do this trek. However, depending on the weather, one can trek do Khopra Ridge anytime a year. Autumn seasons falls under the months of September-December, which is the peak trekking season in Nepal. Likewise, months of March-May known as Spring season is the 2nd best time to trek on Nepal. Monsoon season can be very difficult to step on the slippery trail because of persistent rain. And, in the winter season snowy trail can be risky.
